Review: Freeman's Charcoal and Black Sugar Detox Mask

Ah, finally a day off of work. Happy Monday! Today I decided to try out my new Charcoal and Black Sugar mask by Freeman. So glad I did. After my thoughts there will be a few swatches and images of the product below!

First Impressions: This stuff just looks gross. The smell isn't bad, but I wouldn't say I want to eat it out of the tubing. It's a thick-ish texture, but not like a mud mask. And it is full of black sugar, which I really, really like. I was a little iffy on how to put this on my face, but I just went for it and I got it down pretty quickly. Obviously it was patchy so I wanted to make sure I got the bigger black parts on my problem areas and smeared around aimlessly until my face was fully saturated. I did about two nickel sized squirts on my hand, I probably could have used less, but it was fun to rub all over. The directions said to leave it on for 5-7 minutes, but I'm pretty sure I left it on for longer. Then, before you wash it off, you're suppose to massage it into your skin for a minute or two. Which I did, and then washed off with warm water. Now, let me tell you about how I could NOT stop touching my face. Holy moly was it soft and smooth and perfect! I already noticed that a lot of my blemishes seemed to have calmed down!

Final Thoughts: I would buy this mask again in a heartbeat because of how nice it made my skin feel and the fact that I saw results, no matter how small, in a few minutes! I still have a lot left, obviously, as this was my first use. Knowing this, I feel so good about spending the money on this product that will last me quite sometime!

Price: $3.99. I've seen sales on Freeman products before, so always be on the look out! I've see sales at both Walgreen's and ULTA. I purchased mine at CVS for full price.
